Mahshid Ahangarani also said that the movie screening was scheduled in Europe. “The first step garnered a popular welcome by Iranians abroad, and we received demands that the movie screened in other Canadian cities, to which we responded with a decision to screen the movie in other major cities to present it to wider audience,” Ahangarani said.
“Surprisingly enough, the teens and adolescents who grew up in a different culture, responded positively to the movie while it was screened in Persian without a subtitle; moreover, children coming to see the movie knew the characters fully,” she told Mehr News.
“Wide reception of the movie dominated the cinemas screening the City of Mice 2 for full days to rule out screening a second movie,” Ahangarani said, “we plan to screen, in the second experience, Reza Attaran’s Red Carpet, Saeid Soheili’s Kalashnikov, and Ceasefire 2 by Iran’s pioneer female director Tahmineh Milani,” and that “I will manage the process to screen all these movies.”
“The next destination for City of Mice 2 will be Germany,” she noted.
